या संदर्भात “OPEN LETTER TO DGP (M.S.)”
To,
Shri Sadanand Date,(IPS).
The Director General of Police,
Maharashtra State,

Subject: Petition for High-Level Inquiry into Corruption, Ethical Violations, and Illegal Nexus Between Senior Police Officers and Land Developers.
Respected Sir,
I, Rajendra Kumar Trivedi, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Retd.), write this letter with a deep sense of concern and responsibility to bring to your notice certain disturbing facts that point towards serious misconduct, ethical violations, and a questionable nexus between senior police officers and private developers.
The details of the matter are as follows:
1. Illegal Event and Violation of Time Restrictions
On the night of 21 March 2026, a lavish event was organized by Mr. Pravin Sakharam Patil, a developer active in the Diva and Thane region. Despite strict enforcement by the Police Department regarding closure timings, this so-called “DCP Dance Bar” party continued without any authorization till approximately 5:30 AM. It is deeply concerning that officers who are duty-bound to enforce the law were themselves present at, and party to, such a blatant violation.
2. Need to Probe the Nexus and Undue Influence
There is a pressing need to investigate the nature of the relationship between Mr. Pravin Patil and the police officers who attended the event. Serious allegations have emerged regarding his role in liaisoning with the department, including claims of “black money” investments by senior officers in his land ventures, some of which reportedly involve protected mangrove areas. These aspects require immediate and thorough investigation.
3. Acts of Gross Misconduct
- Amit Kale: It has been reported that he engaged in conduct wholly unbecoming of a senior police officer, including public physical intimacy with performers during the event.
- Parag Manere: His presence and conduct at the event also require detailed scrutiny in the context of service discipline and propriety.
- Deepak Devraj (DCP): He was not medically fit, as he is suffering from spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 (SCA1). Despite this condition, he was present at the event and was reportedly heavily intoxicated. During the course of the night, an altercation took place, resulting in a serious leg fracture, leaving him wheelchair-bound, an injury directly linked to his participation in this unauthorised gathering.
4. Financial Irregularities
It has been alleged that bundles of ₹500 currency notes, amounting to approximately ₹40–50 lakhs, were made available to guests for the purpose of showering money on dancers. Such an open display of cash raises serious concerns regarding the source of funds and possible financial misconduct, warranting scrutiny of assets and financial records.
5. Historical Precedent and Media Suppression
In the past, particularly during the 1980s and 1990s, the department had taken strict action, including suspension, against officers attending parties hosted by known criminal elements such as Vardharajan and the Chhota Rajan gang (Farid Tanasha). In the present case, the attendance of multiple DCP-rank officers from Thane City, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai City at such an event calls for similar disciplinary standards.
Further, it is reported that journalist Tarakant Dwivedi, popularly known as “Akela,” was harassed in an attempt to suppress the reporting of this incident. Any such act of pressurising the media is a serious matter and strikes at the core of transparency and accountability.
Prayer
In view of the above, I respectfully request that your office:
- Identify and take appropriate action against all officers who attended this illegal gathering.
- Investigate the role of officials involved in suppressing or influencing media coverage.
- Examine in detail the financial and professional nexus between Mr. Pravin Patil and the concerned officers.
Failure to take action in such a serious matter risks eroding public confidence and damaging the integrity of the police force.
Yours faithfully,
Rajendrakumar Trivedi

Why there is no law & order for the higher Authority system and why this system is so easy for them to brake the rules. All the rules are only for common people??..they all should be punish.
Ase police commissioner kanun ki palna karane wale hi kanun tadega to kanun ko khilona Banane wale Adhikariyo ke police
Mahanidheshak kadi se kadi karyawai honi chahiye
Excellent writing and the letter to the Director General of Police. Keep it up Trivedi Sir Ji.
If the facts are true, suspension till enquiry is complete! Strict action if found guilty. No executive posting till retirement. No need of such officers in executive postings. All non executive posting in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur for them. No mercy as its gross violations of all discipline, integrity, ethics and a bolt on the police force. Anti corruption enquiries of such officers must ne compulsory and public should be made aware of it.
It’s serious on the part of law enforcement agencies and senior police officials.
All three DCP rank officers are very corrupt having no ethics.
DCP Deepak Devraj had no professional knowledge and experience.
He manages political leaders and grab cream postings.
A thorough departmental enquiry must be conducted through retired Session Judge or minimum Addl.DG DG level officer otherwise they will manage the enquiry officer.
If the Honorable DG Sir fails to take proper steps in this matter a PIL/ writ petition should be filed in the High Court.
My personal request of party is organised illegally all this sr officers inquiry must be conducted and they should punished.
